For most hotel bookings, no. Hotels and other travel partners pay travel advisors a commission for bookings, so there's generally no additional cost to you for our hotel-booking services. For more complex, customized itineraries that require significant planning, a planning fee may apply. We'll always discuss that with you before we begin.
For most bookings, the hotel or travel provider pays a commission after you travel. You pay the hotel or travel provider directly, just as you normally would.
Generally, no. Most hotel bookings use published retail rates, with the commission paid separately by the hotel after your stay. Certain properties may even offer additional benefits when booked through a preferred travel advisor.
It depends on the hotel and rate, but eligible bookings may include complimentary breakfast, hotel or resort credits, room upgrades when available, early check-in or late checkout when available, and additional VIP recognition or amenities. We'll let you know exactly what's included before you book.

Yes. Come with a friend, or come solo for $3,995 per person ($2,000 deposit) — either way, you're one of sixteen women for the weekend.
Dinner is at leisure each night so you can explore Palm Beach on your own schedule. We're happy to recommend our favorite restaurants and help arrange reservations. Champagne toast, courtside smoothies, Friday's open bar, and Saturday's cabana snacks are all included.
Not at all — instruction is organized in small groups by skill level, so whether you're brand new or highly competitive, you'll be grouped with others at a similar level.
All levels are welcome, but some prior mahjong experience is recommended — Friday night's session builds on the basics rather than teaching the game from scratch.
Yes — the registration form asks whether you're attending with a friend and lets you note their name for rooming. If you'd rather not share a room, you can book a solo room instead.
All payments — deposit and final balance — are non-refundable once made, regardless of the reason. Your reservation is transferable to another guest up until 7 days before the retreat, with no transfer fee. If we need to cancel or postpone, you'll be offered a full credit toward a future retreat.

Pricing & Payment
$2,995 per person for double occupancy, or $3,995 per person for a solo room. Both prices are per person, not per room.
$1,500 per person for double occupancy, or $2,000 per person for a solo room. The remaining balance is due by September 15, 2026. If you book after September 15, full payment is due at the time of booking.
Submitting the registration form doesn't charge you anything. Once we receive it, we'll follow up directly with an invoice for your deposit.

Skill Levels & Experience
Not at all — instruction is organized in small groups by skill level, so whether you're brand new or highly competitive, you'll be grouped with others at a similar level.
All levels are welcome, but some prior mahjong experience is recommended. Friday night's session builds on the basics rather than teaching the game from scratch, so it's most enjoyable if you've played at least once or twice before the weekend.
We ask for your tennis NTRP rating (or "not sure / new to tennis" if you don't have one) and your general experience level in pickleball, padel, and mahjong. This just helps us group instruction appropriately — there's no wrong answer.
Packing & Logistics
Court attire for tennis, pickleball & padel; a swimsuit for pool and beach time; and something for evenings out at dinner. Bring your own racquet or paddle if you have a preferred one — let us know ahead of time if you need to rent equipment.
All necessary mahj supplies are provided, so you don't need to bring anything — but feel free to bring your own set if you'd like to take advantage of all the gorgeous spaces The Breakers has to offer for play.
The nearest airport is Palm Beach International (PBI), about 6 miles and 15 minutes away. Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood (FLL) is about 42 miles, roughly 50 minutes, and Miami International (MIA) is about 72 miles, roughly 1 hour 20 minutes — see our full "How to Get There" breakdown on the Breakers page.
